Public beta · version 0.9
WonderPath is in public beta
Beta means the product works and families are using it, and we are still finishing parts of it in the open. We would rather show you what is unfinished than hide it. WonderPath is developed by Clove9 and will move into its own company as it grows. This page is the honest list. It is updated whenever the list changes. Notice version 1.2, 27 September 2026.
What is unfinished, and what we are doing about it
Teacher review of lessons
Unfinished: Every lesson is written by AI and none has yet been reviewed by a qualified teacher. Some may contain an error or an awkward phrase. History, Geography, Art, Music, Design and Technology, French and Storytelling are beta subjects and come later in the review queue than the launch subjects.
Improving: We are setting up teacher review with a ten-point rubric, starting with the launch subjects (Maths, English, Reading, Phonics, Science, Computing). We will show the number of lessons reviewed here once the first are recorded. Until then, treat lessons as AI drafts and use them alongside school.
The AI helper
Unfinished: The helper can make arithmetic, spelling and factual mistakes, and can misread a question. It gives hints rather than answers, and it declines when asked for the final answer, but a determined child can still be told more than a teacher would say.
Improving: Quizzes and practice open help only after your child has tried, and never show the answer mid-quiz. The chat helper follows the same rule: a question, a similar example, then a look at your child's own attempt. During the beta we score its replies against a teacher rubric every day, and we will show those results here once there are enough to mean something. Please still supervise homework help.
Curriculum coverage
Unfinished: We map to the National Curriculum for England. Not every objective in every year group has a live lesson yet, and we do not yet cover Wales, Scotland or Northern Ireland.
Improving: The Curriculum page shows subjects and year groups today; an objective-by-objective map with covered and in-review states is being built. We will re-map when the revised National Curriculum is published in spring 2027.
Reports and progress
Unfinished: Weekly and yearly reports are drafted with AI from your child's activity. They do not yet link every sentence to the piece of work behind it.
Improving: The next version of the report shows the evidence for each claim, so you can tap a line and see the work.
Billing emails and account closure
Unfinished: Stripe sends a receipt after each payment, but we do not yet send a reminder before a renewal. Closing a whole account is done by email and by hand.
Improving: A renewal reminder email and a one-tap account closure are being built. Until then Settings shows your renewal date and lets you cancel in one step.
Reporting a problem from inside a conversation
Unfinished: There is no report button on a conversation yet. Reports go by email.
Improving: A one-tap report on every conversation and lesson is on the build list.
Voice
Unfinished: Character voices are available on the Family Plus plan only and can mispronounce unusual words.
Improving: Voices are re-recorded as we find problems, and reading aloud for ages 4 to 6 is being redesigned to listen to your child rather than talk at them.
What the beta label does not change
- Safety filters on every message to and from the helper, and refusal of off-limits topics.
- Safeguarding: a named lead, human review of flagged messages, and referral where a child is at risk.
- Data protection: no advertising, no selling data, no training AI models on your child's data, deletion on request.
- Billing: the price you see is the price you pay, cancel in one place, 14-day cancellation right with a proportionate refund. Renewal reminders are being switched on (see above).
- Your statutory rights under the Consumer Rights Act 2015.
How to report a problem
Email info@wonderpath.co.uk with the lesson name or the date of the conversation. A person reads every report. Content problems are looked at within 2 working days. Safeguarding concerns are acknowledged within 24 hours. If we change or remove a feature you paid for, you can cancel and we refund the unused part of your period.
One more thing your child should know
The helper is a computer program, not a person. It will say so if asked. The helper gives hints, not answers. You can read every conversation from your account, and you can switch the helper off for any child.
