SEND & neurodivergent learning

Learning that adapts to your child's needs

Every child learns differently. Some need more time. Some need less clutter. Some need movement breaks or a calmer screen. WonderPath is built for all of them: not as an add-on, but from the very first line of code.

Designed for children aged 4-11 with dyslexia, autism, ADHD, and other special educational needs. Mapped to the National Curriculum for England. Free to start.

    Dyslexia Support

    Reading without the struggle

Some children with dyslexia find a screen full of text tiring to read. WonderPath lets you change the fundamentals: the font, the spacing, the colours, the pace. Choose what helps your child, switch it off if it does not, and keep the focus on learning rather than decoding. No diagnosis is needed to use any of it.

    • Lexend font option: a typeface made for easier reading, which some children prefer
    • Adjustable coloured overlays (cream, soft blue, soft green)
    • Increased letter and line spacing throughout
    • Read-aloud on every lesson, quiz, and tutor response
    • No timed tests or reading-speed pressure: ever
    • Short paragraphs with bold key vocabulary
    • Visual scaffolding: images and diagrams alongside text
    • Choice of natural AI voices at adjustable speeds

    Dyslexia Mode

Toggle on from the parent dashboard. Takes effect instantly across the entire app.

    Autism-Friendly Design

    Predictable, calm, and clear

Some autistic children find busy apps overwhelming: unexpected pop-ups, bright animations, unclear instructions and changing layouts. Autism mode calms the screen with softer colours, no animation and fewer surprises. Every child is different, so each setting can be switched on or off.

    • Predictable, consistent layouts on every single screen
    • Calm colour palette: soft slates, no bright flashes
    • All animations disabled for a still, stable interface
    • Clear, literal language: no idioms or figurative speech
    • Visual schedule: Today's Plan shows exactly what's coming
    • No sudden pop-ups, sounds, or unexpected changes
    • Sensory controls: toggle sounds, haptics, and visuals independently
    • AI tutor uses direct, kind language for literal thinkers

    ADHD Focus Mode

    One thing at a time

Many children with ADHD learn well when the environment stops working against them. Focus Mode offers short bursts, movement breaks, immediate feedback and fewer distractions. Every child is different, so each part can be turned on or off, and none of it claims to treat ADHD.

    • Micro-chunking: one question, one task, one screen at a time
    • Built-in movement break prompts every 8 minutes
    • Fun physical activities during breaks (star jumps, stretches)
    • Visual session timer so your child always knows where they are
    • Frequent micro-rewards for completing small steps
    • Reduced-clutter interface with minimal visual noise
    • A companion character stays on screen, which some children find helps them keep going
    • Pause and resume at any time without losing progress

    Focus Mode

Movement breaks aren't a reward: they're part of the learning design.

    Sensory & Physical Access

    Built for every body

Children with motor difficulties, sensory processing differences, or physical disabilities need interfaces that don't fight them. Large touch targets, keyboard navigation, and separate sensory controls help more children use WonderPath on their own. Tell us if anything gets in the way.

    • Large touch targets (56-64px) for easier tapping
    • Keyboard access to sign-in, settings and the lesson quiz, with a visible focus ring
    • Reduce Motion: switches off animation across WonderPath, and respects the reduce-motion setting on your device
    • High contrast mode for visual clarity
    • Sound effects, haptics, and voice can be toggled independently
    • Auto-play text-to-speech option for non-readers
    • Designed to avoid flashing content
    • Mobile-first responsive design: works on tablets, phones, and desktops

    Sensory Controls

Your child controls what they see, hear, and feel. Nothing is forced.

    Four learning paces

    Your child's speed, not ours

There is no single right pace for learning. WonderPath offers four distinct modes so you can match your child's needs: and change at any time from the parent dashboard.

    Child-Led

Your child chooses what to learn and when. No pressure, no schedule. Ideal for children who thrive with autonomy or need decompression time after school.

    Gentle Encouragement

Light nudges and suggestions, but never forced. The AI companion offers activities without insisting. Good for children who need a soft structure without rigidity.

    Curriculum-Paced

Follows the National Curriculum progression for your child's year group. Suitable for children who benefit from a clear, predictable learning sequence.

    Accelerated

For children who are ahead of their peers and need challenge. Moves faster through objectives and introduces stretch material. Can be combined with any accessibility mode.

    EHCP compatible

Works alongside Education, Health and Care Plans

If your child has an EHCP, you already know how important it is that every tool in their life supports their identified outcomes. WonderPath is designed to sit alongside your child's plan, not replace any part of it.

    • Configure learning pace to match EHCP recommendations
    • Toggle specific accessibility modes (dyslexia, autism, ADHD) as advised by professionals
    • Share progress reports with your child's SENCO or school
    • Detailed learning analytics that track engagement, not just scores
    • All settings adjustable at any time as your child's needs evolve

WonderPath does not generate EHCP documentation or make recommendations about your child's plan. It is a learning tool that can be configured to support existing professional recommendations.

    Honest about what we are

    What WonderPath is: and isn't

We know parents of SEND children are used to products over-promising. We won't do that.

    WonderPath is:

    • An adaptive learning app that adjusts to how your child learns
    • A complement to school, tutoring, and professional support
    • A tool parents can configure based on needs they already know about
    • Content mapped to the National Curriculum for England for ages 4 to 11
    • Designed with accessibility as a core principle, not an afterthought

    WonderPath is not:

    • ×A diagnostic tool: it cannot identify or assess SEND conditions
    • ×A replacement for speech therapy, occupational therapy, or educational psychology
    • ×A substitute for school-based SEND provision or 1:1 support
    • ×A clinical intervention or medical device
    • ×A guarantee of academic outcomes: every child is different
